Sound for Film: The Incredibles

For our sound for moving image project we were required to create the sound for a clip from Disney Pixar’s ‘The Incredibles’. All the different sound categories had to be produced.

For the Foley we did location recording at holme pierrepont, a water sports centre nearby. We managed to create many sounds such as footsteps, rustles and splashing.

All the voices were done in the studio at a later date. We used a ribbon microphone with a pop shield to record the dialogue.

Sound Effects
We were given a library of sound effects which we could use for sounds such as the monorail and the ambulance in the film.

Music had to be done individually using MIDI in Reason 3.0. We had to use synthesisers to create appropriate music to the piece.

UPDATE: I received a Distinction for this piece of work.
